Valentine’s Day Inspired Makeup Look

The perfect products for the perfect valentine's day. They will make you feel beautiful, empowered, and confident.

With Valentine’s Day just a couple of days away, I am sharing my version of a Valentine’s Day look. For me, makeup is about feeling confident and empowered, and that is what I try to showcase here. Valentine’s Day has never been a big deal for me. In Colombia, we celebrate our version of Valentine’s Day in September. It is called Love & Friendship day. I like it a lot more as we also celebrate friendship, and it is just not a day for single people to feel lonely. Let me know how you celebrate Valentine’s Day and your version of a Valentine’s Day look in the comments! These are the products I used:

Valentine’s Day Base

base products for the perfect valentine's day look, including the maybelline matte and poreless foundation, rimmel stay matte powder, and nars soft matte complete concealer.

For the base, I used products I’ve used before and I am comfortable with. The Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation is amazing. This time, I actually used my fingers to blend and loved the result. Then, my perfect concealer combo, and the Rimmel Stay Matte powder to set my under-eye. I wanted a good coverage, but to feel cakey. This base is long-wearing, and it is perfect for date-night and gals night.

Valentine’s Day Complexion

products used for a perfect valentine's day complexion including the benefit hoola contour stick, the milani baked bronzer, and colourpop cosmetics super shock highlighter in flexitarian.

The Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Contour Stick is one of my favorites. I used it very lightly and then used my Milani Baked Bronzer in Soleil to add more warmth. The blush I used is from Colourpop Cosmetics, and it is called Double Play. It comes with an amazing highlighter, but I did not use that this time. The highlighter I used is also from Colourpop and it is Flexitarian. Again, all very natural. These products go amazing together, and I would definitely recommend Flexitarian. It is a blinding highlighter.

Valentine’s Day Eyes

The products I used on my eyes for the perfect valentine's day makeup look.

For this look, I kept the eyes super simple. I only used two shades of my Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette. The shades I used are Whiskey, a rich brown matte and Combust, a soft-pink taupe. The eyeliner I used is from the Gigi x Maybelline collection. This gel eyeliner is from the East Coast Glam collection. I tightlined with it, and I then applied a little to my bottom waterline. My recent mascara combo has been the Grande Cosmetics Grande Primer that I won in an Instagram giveaway, and the Maybelline Big Shot Colossal mascara.

Valentine’s Day Lips

Using the Nudestix lipstick in Raven for the perfect Valentine's day look.

The star of this show is the lipstick. I wanted to keep a neutral eye look and make the lipstick pop. For this look, I chose the Nudestix Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencil in Raven. If you read my Fall Favorite Lipsticks, you’ll know I love these berry-toned shades. This is the only Nudestix lipstick I have tried, and I love it. I’ve only used it as a lipstick so I can’t comment on it’s “cheek” qualities.

valentine's day inspired makeup look.

I hope you have enjoyed this look! I felt extremely confident while wearing it, and it is definitely a look I’d wear again.

How do you like spending Valentine’s Day?
