Over the last couple of months, Thrive Causemetics has become one of my absolute FAVORITE brands. The whole brand concept is one that I love, and every product that I have tried I have had an amazing experience with. There have been a couple of products that didn’t become instant favorites, but they have been great quality. They just didn’t work out for me. Let me know if you’d be interested in a post where I talk about them. I last reviewed their foundation which I have been using nonstop since I received this. The most recent addition to my Thrive Causemetics collection is the Instant Brow Fix Semi-Permanent Eyebrow Gel. Until this, Thrive had only released an eyebrow pencil so I was very excited to see this!
I have been testing it for a couple of weeks already so keep reading to find out how I liked it… Did I like it?
What It Claims
The Thrive Causemetics Instant Brow Fix has some crazy claims, including long-term filling effects.
- Instantly tint, fill, and define
- Fuller looking brows
- Waterproof
- Smudge-proof
- Lasts over 24 hours
- Over time, formula tints brows for naturally defined brows
- Vitamin B5 stimulates eyebrow growth
What I Love
First, the wand. I absolute love the wand of the Thrive Causemetics Instant Brow Fix. It is so thin but long, and it makes it easy for those narrower areas of the brow. I also find that it grabs the hairs really well for that defined look. With eyebrow gel, a fear is always that crunchy feeling, but that doesn’t happen with this at all. No matter how much product I used, the eyebrows were never left feeling crunchy.

Second, the shade Serena is beautiful. It is a dark brown, not black, and it looks so well on my eyebrows. Really my perfect shade. I had been using the Glossier Boy Brow in Brown which is lighter, and I think that’s why I love the Instant Brow Fix so much. It makes my eyebrows look a lot bolder than what I am used to.
Overall, I really love the look I am able to achieve with this product.
What Could Be Better
The shade range. There are three shades available, Christina, Audrey, and Serena. I think for blondes there could be one other shade. There are people with really light eyebrows and I think the lightest shade, Christina, could be too dark on them. I haven’t personally seen or tested this shade, so it might work for very light blondes. If you have tried it, please let me know how it worked for you!

Still Testing
I am still testing a couple of the claims of the Thrive Causemetics Instant Brow Fix. I am not testing the 24 hour claim because I will never be wearing eyebrow gel for 24 hours. On the other hand, I am curious about the claim that the product will be tinting my brows over time. It sounds amazing so I am curious to see the long-term effects of using it.
Using an eyebrow gel is definitely my preferred mode of application for that minimal makeup look. It’s a lot easier if you’re not trying to be too precise. If you have a hard time with pencils or pomades, I definitely recommend you check this out!
