Thrive Causemetics Buildable Blur CC Cream | Review

Thrive Causemetics is a brand I wasn’t familiar with until they reached out to me via Instagram. They were kind enough to send me some of their products. Since then, I have been able to try so many of what they have to offer and learn so much about the brand. Today, I am excited to share with you my newest love, their Buildable Blur CC Cream. It has replaced my love for the IT Cosmetics CC Cream. The main reason – the inclusive shade range. It also has a beautiful finish and wears beautifully throughout the day. If you love a natural makeup look, make sure to keep reading to find out if the Thrive Causemetics Buildable Blur CC Cream should be your next foundation purchase!

What You Need to Know

  • There are a total of 18 shades available – for ANY CC Cream, that is AMAZING. The IT Cosmetics CC Cream only offers 12 shades, but the shade range is quite disappointing. On the IT Cosmetics, I usually wear Light, but there comes a point when Light is a little too dark, but then Fair is a little too pink. With the Thrive CC Cream, I don’t experience this issue.
  • It has blur effect technology – giving your skin a flawless finish. I really do feel link this foundation makes my skin look as if it had a filtered on it.
  • One of the main ingredients is Vitamin C – This has long-term effects, helping evening out skin tone, brightening, and providing anti-aging benefits.
  • SPF 35 – We all know that it doesn’t really matter what we do if we’re not protecting our skin from the horrible, damaging UV rays from the sun. The Thrive Causemetics Buildable Blur CC Cream comes with SPF 35 to help you protect your skin. It also protects your skin from the blue light that radiates from devices like your smartphone.

What I Love

Thrive Causemetics Buildable Blur Foundation and Setting Powder

As I mentioned, I was so happy to find my perfect shade and undertone. Usually, CC Creams, BB Creams, and tinted moisturizers have an extremely limited shade range. This is because they tend to be more sheer than high-coverage foundations so brands think it’s okay to have less shades – as it is possible that one shade works for multiple skin tones. But that is often not the case.

The finish is also absolutely beautiful. I usually use it with my Smashbox Primerizer (best primer for dry skin), and it makes my skin look so natural and healthy. Other products have no trouble blending on top of it. If you’ve been following my blog, you know I am definitely a fan of low-coverage foundations, my skin but better, and the Thrive Causemetics Buildable Blur CC Cream is perfect for that type of look. I do think the IT Cosmetics CC Cream has a bit more coverage, which is why it can feel heavier on the skin. Therefore, if you’re looking for just the right amount of coverage, this is the product for you.

Will I Repurchase?

I have been a fan of the IT Cosmetics CC Cream for a couple of years now. I tried several foundations since then, but none that replaced my love for it. Until now.
