Hello again! Another Wednesday, another post. If you missed Monday’s post, you can read it here. I discussed and went over my nighttime skincare routine.

To be honest, I wasn’t very excited by this month’s box so this will be a pretty quick post. Also, it will be the last unboxing for a while as I will be traveling to Colombia next Wednesday until the first week of September and unfortunately I can’t get Birchbox or Sephora Play! there.
This month’s theme is Your Summer Starters. I didn’t really think anything in the box was very “summer,” I saw other people’s posts on what they got and some people got a lot more summer-related products like Tarte’s Tarteguard 20 Tinted Moisturizer. I would’ve LOVED to get this. Instead, these are the products I received in my June Sephora Play! Box.
Really? Again? I have received so many samples of this product and I really don’t understand why. This primer really doesn’t work for me. I hate the siliconey feeling and every time I’ve tried it, I just feel like my skin feels dirty afterward. Hate it.
I am actually somewhat excited about this. The packaging had a very funky smell and I was worried this was going to be the scent of the product, but no worries, the setting spray has no funky smell. Not sure where the funky smell came from. I was surprised to see a setting spray with SPF, I’m not sure how efficient it would be, but I think we all need all the extra help in protecting from the sun. I would not rely solely on this product for SPF protection.
You know, Sea Spray is one of those things that I really wish worked for me. I love the idea of it, the beachy waves, the texture, but whenever I try it, it just doesn’t work. I usually apply it on dry hair and try to scrunch it up and work it, but I end up hating the feeling and brushing it away. Does anyone have any tips on the “proper” way to use Sea Spray?
I previously received a sample of this in a Birchbox. It is a great dry shampoo that absorbs excess oil and adds volume for soft, refreshed hair. I love using this! It is not my go-to dry shampoo, I have a couple of others that I reach out for more than this one, but can you really have too many travel-sized dry shampoos? Can you? I don’t think so.
This is probably the most exciting product for me this month. Even though I love the shade, I wouldn’t exactly call this a summer shade. I hadn’t tried ANY of the Kat Von D lipsticks (… or products), but I have to say I love the formula of this liquid lipstick. I am not sure if it’s supposed to be matte, I don’t think so, it is more of a satin formula which means it’s not SUPER drying but it also means there might be some transfer. I think I now need to try the Lolita shade everyone is always raving about. Have any of you tried it?
And last and least, this month’s perfume sample – BVLGARI Omnia Crystalline. Don’t get me wrong, I love that there’s a perfume sample every month, I have so many perfume samples that I reach out to all the time, but I just don’t have much to say.
I hope you enjoyed this unboxing. I have been thinking of maybe getting started on some Instagram stories and post the unboxing there as well. Have any of you tried this? Do you enjoy it?
What is your favorite summer product?
