How I Saved My Dry Skin – My Top Dry Skin Products

Holaa again! Thanks for coming back to my blog and welcome if this is your first time here. If you don’t know, I recently moved to Eugene, OR to attend the University of Oregon and this is a much colder, drier climate than what I am used to. The first couple of days, my skin felt fine, but after a week went by my skin felt like I had just gotten off a 15-hour flight. My everyday moisturizer was not doing it, my dry skin felt drier after I cleansed it, masks were not enough, and I just needed to find new products that were gonna help me out and bring my skin back to its normal state. If you missed my last post you can find it here.

The first product I picked up was the Simple Water Boost Micellar Cleansing Water. Before this, I was using the fan-favorite Garnier SkinActive Cleansing Water. I am not saying the Garnier water was drying out my skin, but I just thought I’d switch things up and try something targeted to dry skin. So far, it has been great. I just purchased my second bottle.

Next, moisturizer. I had been using the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel. Again, not saying this was a bad product, it was working fine for me while I was in Texas, but it just didn’t seem to be enough now that I live in Oregon. I did some research, and I looked up good drugstore moisturizers for dry skin as I didn’t want to splurge, and I decided to try the POND’S Dry Skin Cream. Pond’s is a brand that is very popular in Colombia, my mom has always used Pond’s, and I have been loving it. It is definitely a lot thicker than my Neutrogena one so I have started using a makeup primer before applying makeup just to make the application smoother, but I do think this has been a lifesaver.

The next product has been on my list for a while, I enjoy using it, and I highly recommend it. Pixi’s Glow Tonic is another cult favorite. It feels like it has been around forever and everyone has amazing things to say about it.

Sheet Mask

Last, but definitely not least, the Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb The Super Hydrating Sheet Mask. You’ve seen these masks all over Instagram, people were raving about them for months, and I was never to find them at my local HEB (Texas grocery store), but I’ve finally been able to dry them out. I only use this once a week or so, usually on a Sunday, and I love how it makes my skin feel. It is definitely that needed extra moisture I need at the end of a long week. There’s a couple version of this mask, and I’m sure there’s one that would work just for your skin type!
