Glossier is one of those brands that showed up out of nowhere and has made a huge dent in the beauty community. Their products are EVERYWHERE, and you can find 1,000 videos on YouTube of Glossier brand reviews like “A Full Face of Glossier.” The whole idea behind Glossier is natural beauty. Some don’t like the brand because there aren’t any high-coverage products. Everything is very sheer and they strongly believe that skin comes first. While they have a lot of skincare products, I haven’t really tried any of them (other than the tiny samples) except for the Glossier Balm Dot Com. In terms of makeup, I have tried a couple of things. The most recent product I picked up was the Glossier Stretch Concealer. And I am here to give you ALL my thoughts about it.

Glowy, dewy skin is synonymous with Glossier, with products invented to bring out your best before reaching for makeup. Then makeup becomes the fun part, not the fix—as it should be.

The Good
I always like to start my reviews with the positive. The things I have enjoyed the most about the product. The Glossier Stretch Concealer has little coverage, which can be considered a con by a lot of people. For me, the low coverage of the concealer is a positive. As someone with dry skin, my under-eye tends to get a little cakey. It is the area of my face that wears the worst throughout the day. That is not an issue I get with this concealer.
- It wears well throughout the day
- Because of its wet appearance, it brightens up the area
- The coverage is just the right amount
- The recently expanded shade range!!!

The Bad
While I LOVE how hydrating this concealer is, this can often cause for mascara and eyeliner to transfer and smudge. I have tested a few mascaras, and there are a couple where this hasn’t happened. Two of them being the Thrive Causemetics Lash Extension Mascara and the Hourglass Caution Mascara. A mascara that smudged terribly was the NARS Climax. I looked like a raccoon after only a couple of hours. Setting the concealer with a powder like the Hourglass Veil Translucent definitely helps.
When I started writing this post (yes, it takes me a while, I’m not proud), there were only about five shades available of the Glossier Stretch Concealer. A couple of days ago, the brand announced new shades for a total of 12 shades. While it’s still not great, this concealer is so sheer that it might be enough. My skin tone is usually represented so I can’t speak on behalf of those who aren’t. I do my best to stay informed but since the new shades were released only a couple of days ago, there aren’t any reviews on the new shades. If I find any at a later time, I will add them to this post!
Glossier Stretch Concealer Final Thoughts
I had been on the hunt for a concealer like this. As someone who wears a VERY natural base, having a high coverage concealer always looked off. The Glossier Stretch Concealer has a beautiful finish. It pairs great with my Thrive CC Cream. I am excited about them releasing new shades, definitely a step in the right direction. As I mentioned at the beginning, if you’re a high-coverage person, stay away from Glossier base products! They weren’t made to satisfy your needs.
