Briogeo Hair Care | Product Review

One recent discovery of mine has been Briogeo. If you haven’t heard of this brand yet, I will tell you all about it. The products I have tried so far are only two, but both products have been amazing. I am pretty sure I first heard of them on YouTube (as usual) and decided to give it a go. The first product I picked up is the Scalp Revival Charcoal and Coconut Oil Micro-Exfoliating Shampoo, and I then got the Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask. Both these products are the treatment kind and are not for everyday use. I usually just use hair oils to nourish my hair, but these two have been a part of my routine for the last couple of months. If you feel like you’re hair is needing an extra boost, you’re not happy with it, it has no shine, and you’ve tried everything, keep reading.

The brand Briogeo has made a name for itself because of their approach to hair care. They are 6-free which means their products are free of six ingredients that are considered harmful. Briogeo hair care is free of sulfates, silicones, phthalates, parabens, DEA, and artificial dyes. Their brand also offers products for a wide variety of hair textures and needs, they understand not everyone’s hair is the same. Briogeo offers shampoos, conditioners, styling products, treatments, and scalp care products.

Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-Exfoliating Shampoo

This product sounds extremely scary, but trust me, it’s amazing. The idea of having tiny beads in our hair, like sand, is terrifying, but the way this product is made, it’s not rough and it’s not uncomfortable. Scalp Revival is for those with a dry, irritated, and flaky scalp. If you’ve experienced dandruff or itchiness, this shampoo is for you. The charcoal draws impurities while the micro-exfoliators remove dead cells and any build up (from dry shampoo and other styling products). Then, the other components work together to balance out the scalp, soothing it.

I use this shampoo about once a week, sometimes I go longer depending on how much dry shampoo I used throughout the week. When I use the shampoo, I like to pair it with the Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask. They work together perfectly!

Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask

First, you should know I’ve colored my hair before. Although I’ve done a lot to make sure I take care of it, dying your hair does a lot of damage, especially when you go from brunette to blonde. This mask is for people with dry, damaged, chemically-treated, lifeless hair. You are supposed to use it once a week (I am lazy so I sometimes go longer than that), in order to restore hydration and natural vibrancy. The mask should be applied evenly and left for five-ten minutes. They also recommend covering your hair with a shower cap and sitting under a dryer for 30 minutes. This is not a leave-in conditioner.

There is a variation of this product and it is a kit. It is the Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Hair Cap System Kit. First, you apply the Deep Conditioning Mask, and then you cover it with the Ultra Repair Essence-Infused Hair Cap. The hair cap is lined with ingredients that enhance the power of the mask even more. I haven’t tried this one, but I do plan to in the future.

Overall, these two products together have been a great addition to my hair care routine. If you’ve been looking for something to boost your hair, I highly recommend these two.
