Concealers to Cover Under-Eye Circles

Late nights? Lots of homework? You need something quick and easy that makes you look awake every morning. The perfect concealer combo is an essential step of any beauty routine. Learn how to find the products needed to take care of your lack of sleep.I believe concealer is an essential step in a makeup routine. In a lot of occasions, it is possible to not use foundation and rely solely on concealer. The key for concealer to work is using the right one and the one that works for your skin type. There are so many concealers available on the market, it is hard to test them all and find which ones work. I have found what works for me. Because this has worked for me, I wanted to share it. I have dry skin, but my under eyes are not super dry. I have light skin, and my under eyes are just a hint of purple. Keep this in mind as you read, this combo might work for you.

The key here is that it takes more than one concealer to do the job. So if you find that all the concealers you’ve tried just don’t get the job done, maybe you should try using two.

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Concealer

I learned about this product when I attended a makeup class at Sephora. They taught me about the art of color correcting. The key to color correcting is understanding your skin and what your skin needs. In my case, it is a peach-toned corrector for my under eyes. I use the shade R22 for Light to Medium skin tones. I apply this first, usually with my finger as I really want to focus it on my undereye. Since I don’t use this to brighten, I don’t want it going everywhere.

NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer

Late nights? Lots of homework? You need something quick and easy that makes you look awake every morning. The perfect concealer combo is an essential step of any beauty routine. Learn how to find the concealers needed to take care of your lack of sleep.

To be honest, I purchased this concealer because of the hype. Just as I purchased the Tarte Cosmetics Shape Tape. The hype. For months, the NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer was all over the place. Even last month, it was on everyone’s Best of 2017 videos. Most recommend this concealer for spot-correcting, but I use it to cover the dark circles under my eyes. I use the shade Vanilla. Since it is “matte,” I think some people might find this too drying for under the eyes, but when I put it over the color-correcting concealer, it works perfectly. Again, I use my finger to apply, and then I use a beauty blender to make sure it’s all smooth. I do use this concealer to brighten my face a bit, so I do cover more with this one.

Once I have applied both, I use a setting powder. I don’t bake, as I think this is too much and I definitely don’t need it. The setting powders I use vary, usually, it is the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder. Find what color correcting shade you need to cover your under-eye circles. It will be life-changing.
