I think Mascara is the one thing people always have in their makeup collection. They also probably have more than one in case one runs out, or to layer them up, or just because they’re trying them out and testing which works best. I am no different – no originality here, just following the crowds – and so I have more than one… More than 2, I have five, but in my defense, two were Sephora samples or something like that. I didn’t purchase them. For me, mascara is always hit or miss, there are times I absolutely LOVE it, but then there are times my eyelashes won’t cooperate and it all looks like a giant mess. Does this happen to you too? Please tell me someone out there has found a way to break their eyelashes will into submission and GIVE ME YOUR SECRET!!!
This review will be based on the days’ everything goes smoothly, the rainbow days, the freakin-tastic days my eyes look like they belong in a magazine (just fyi – there are not a lot of these).
I got a sample of this a while ago and LOVED it! It definitely increased the number of days where my lashes cooperate, and it’s like a pre-coat to when I actually apply the heavy mascara. I highly recommend this product, and if you ever just want a more natural look, you can use the primer without using a regular mascara afterward.
My absolute favorite of all time! I have repurchased this so many times, and I still love it. I am definitely a fan of this type of brush, and not the synthetic plastic brush (used in the Benefit They’re Real! Mascara & Tinted Lash Primer). I think it helps create a more natural, voluminous, and full look in just two coats. The description in Sephora.com says “three coats help you achieve the most intense, black, multidimensional lashes possible,” but I’ve never tried that. I’ve seen this mascara in a lot of different top mascara lists/reviews, and I think it’s been a favorite for a while now.
Okay, I am not sure what the difference is between this one and the mascara in the pink packaging. I know the one in the pink packaging has been raved about a lot, and I have actually tried it before and my feelings about it are the same as the are for this one. Hit and miss. I don’t see the fascination a lot of beauty bloggers have with this mascara. It’s clumpy – and not in a good way,- and it’s very liquidy so it’s easy for it to smudge before it dries. What are your thoughts on this product? I feel like one of the very few people who don’t like it.
I. LOVE. THIS. I received this as a sample… I think from Sephora? Not sure, but it was pretty decent sized and I love it!! It’s not the same love as the Too Faced love, but it’s definitely up there and I think I will be purchasing it once it runs out. Even though this mascara does have the synthetic bristles I said I didn’t like – it has such a big brush that there’s a lot of coverage and I’ve experienced it does a really good job at really gliding through my lashes and not giving me the clumpy look. I sometimes even use it on the not-so-good-days to improve the look left by other heavier, clumpier mascaras.
This is a recent favorite, I’ve only had it for a couple of months and I really like it. It’s very similar to Too Faced’s in that it’s quick and easy to create a full look. Sometimes on the not-so-great-lashes-days, it’s easy for it to get clumpy and messy. I do think it’s a great drugstore alternative if you’re not interested in investing in higher-end brands.
Not too much to say about this, it’s really nothing too special, although it is pretty great when used alongside the Too Faced mascara. I received it as a sample, but I don’t think I’ll be purchasing the full sized product.
I hope this review was useful if you’re ever on the lookout for a new mascara it can be something to reference. I am always looking to try new things so if you’re favorite mascara is not on this list, leave a comment below! Don’t forget to like this post and check out my other social media!
