April: PLAY! by Sephora Unboxing

If you missed last month’s unboxing, you can find it here.

This month of PLAY! by Sephora was very unimpressive. This is only my second bag so I am hoping it picks up and gets better. What are your thoughts on this month’s bag? The only product that kind of excited me was the eyeliner and the Peter Thomas Roth moisturizer, but other than that… Not very impressed.

These are the products I got:

1. Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer

Everyone has to have a sample of this by now right? It’s crazy, they’re always giving these out. I really don’t see it, and I’ve never been impressed by this product to purchase the full size. I have so many samples of it anyways I don’t even need to purchase the full-size product. If you love this product, can you describe me what it does for your makeup? I’d really like to know.

2. PETER THOMAS ROTH Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream

I am actually really impressed with this. I have been using it the last couple of night’s after cleansing my face, and I wake up with smooth, hydrated skin. It’s lovely. I am thinking about purchasing the full-size product while the Sephora VIB Sale is going on. I think it’s definitely worth it, and if you have dry skin you will be able to notice a significant difference in your skin. Highly recommend it!

3. Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment

Second-best product in this month’s bag. I haven’t tried it yet, but I always love to get these skin samples to try out because I hate purchasing drugstore exfoliators. I never feel like do they anything, but I’m not committed enough to purchase a $24 exfoliator (I know that’s not that bad, but still… That’s like three pizzas). If you have any drugstore exfoliators recommendations, please leave a comment below!

4. Make Up For Ever (did you all know that was four words??) Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliner

Big fan of eyeliner in general so I love eyeliner samples. (I’ve been obsessed with Marc Jacobs Highliner from when I got it as a Sephora sample). So far there’s nothing too crazy about it, nothing that makes it stand out from others, it is better than some drugstore formulas I’ve used before, but not better than the Marc Jacobs one.

5. Sephora Waterproof Eye Make Up Remover

I really didn’t like this product. It is very oily and I felt like I need a complete rewash and cleanse routine for my face after using it. Also, I am a fan of being able to use the same makeup remover for my entire face aka Garnier’s Micellar Water. I also didn’t feel like it did a good job removing my eye makeup. I do not user waterproof makeup so I’m not sure if that was the reason.

And last and least – 6. Daisy Marc Jacobs

One more to a growing collection of perfume samples. Yay!!

What did you think about this month’s bag? Do you have any beauty subscriptions recommendations?
