How pretty is this palette? Forget about the actual eyeshadows, but the packaging is so pretty and sleek. I’ve been obsessing over this palette for a while now, but I didn’t want to cave. I didn’t want to want it…. I failed and you know, that’s okay. It’s okay to fail and buy yourself a gorgeous new palette with gorgeous new shades. Welcome to the family, Modern Renaissance.

Modern Renaissance Thoughts
Modern Renaissance is so beautful, and I really do love the shades. Some of the neutral shades are similar to the ones in my Bronze Kyshadow Palette, but there’s more variety and I love the couple of pink-ish shades. I am sure you all love how professional I sound describing these colors. Total expert. I think it has the necessary shades for an everyday look, but also a couple of shades that can be used for something more out there, night out or event.
Moreover, the shades I reach for the most are Warm Taupe and Antique Bronze. They go so beautiful together. It also makes for a really quick makeup look. There are some of the more shimmery shades like Bermeer and Primavera that I haven’t found much use for, but Love Letter and Venetian Red are stunning.

Finally, if you’re not familiar with the formula of Modern Renaissance, there are only a few things you should know. The shades are pigmented enough – meaning that they can be built up to a beautiful bold eye look, but you can also go in with a light hand for something more natural. Anastasia Beverly Hills is known for its blendable, easy to work with shadows, and that’s exactly this. Perfect for any beginner!
Have you tried this palette yet? What are your first impressions? Between this one, and recently released Soft Glam, which one is your favorite? Don’t forget to like this post and leave a comment below if you enjoyed it!
