Nude Lipsticks Currently In Rotation | Favorites

Lipstick is probably my favorite makeup product. I LOVE LOVE lipstick. Even after a huge declutter, I still have a ton. It all started when my grandmother used to put lipstick on me every Sunday night before we left their home. It was our thing. Since then, my obsession for lipstick has been real. From liquid lipsticks, matte, sheer, lip balms, everything. There are very few times where I don’t have anything. As a graduate student, I don’t like using bold lipsticks to school so I always end up reaching for nudes. These are my current nude lipsticks that I have been reaching for.

favorite makeup including lipsticks

1. MAC Cosmetics – Velvet Teddy

MAC lipsticks are famous. Everyone has at least one. They’re everywhere. One of my favorite shades is Velvet Teddy, a deeptone beige. I think it is super flattering and while it is a matte formula, it isn’t super drying.

2. Pixi Beauty MatteLast Lip – Matte Beige

It is no secret I am a huge fan of the Pixi Beauty MatteLast Liquid Lips. In my opinion, there are some of the best drugstore lipsticks along with the Physicians Formula. The shade Matte Beige is so beautiful and a deserver of a spot as one of my favorite nude lipsticks.

3. Thrive Causemetics Glossy Lip Hydrating Serum – Pamela

This brown mauve lipstick is beautiful. The formula of the Glossy Lip Hydrating Serums is so comfortable, and I particularly like how it wears throughout the day. Other Thrive favorites include the CC Cream and the eyebrow gel.

4. Awake Beauty Vitamin L-I-P Balm – Nudo

No one really talks about Awake Beauty, but they are Tarte Cosmetics’ sister brand. One of my favorite products is their lip balms. The shade Nudo is one of my favorite nude lipsticks because of how comfortable it is. While I love a good matte lipstick, I also love a lipstick that doesn’t dry out my lips.

5. Buxom Cosmetics Va-Va-Plump Shiny Liquid Lipstick – Getting Warmer

Buxom is more known for its lip glosses, but they recently released these shiny liquid lipsticks. They are definitely shiny. Getting Warmer is a light brown shade, I find that it is extremely flattering and the formula is so comfortable. One risk of these is the creaminess. It is possible that these spread, but I haven’t personally experienced that.

6. Colourpop Lippie Stix – Boys Town

Unfortunately, this one is no longer available, but Colourpop has so many other nude lipsticks! It shouldn’t be hard to find a new favorite. Boys Town is a mid-toned pinky brown nude and I love that it was a bit more cool-toned than some of my other favorites.

7. Kylie Cosmetics Crème Lipstick – Mont Blanc

While I have tried Kylie’s very-famous lip kits, I was more excited when she finally released crème lipsticks. I picked up a couple of shades, but my favorite was most definitely Mont Blanc. It is also very cool toned, much like Boys Town. I absolute love this lipstick and would highly recommend this formula.

8. NYX Cosmetics Liquid Suede Creme Lipstick – Sandstorm

Sandstorm is described as a true nude – I am not exactly sure what they mean by that as there are a lot of skin tones and what is “nude” for some might not be nude for others. This was probably one of my first favorite nude lipsticks. The formula of the Liquid Suede lipsticks is amazing and so comfortable.

Final Thoughts

I love lipstick and I think nude lipsticks can look stunning. It is definitely about finding the right shade for you. For example, I am not a fan of peachy-toned lipsticks. I don’t think they look flattering on me at all.
