Why You Need The Physicians Formula Butter Highlighter |Influenster Review

Hello again and welcome back! If you’re new here, my name is Maria and I try to post three times a week. On Saturdays I post a compilation of beauty releases, favorite Instagram accounts, and favorite blog posts each week. If you missed my first #AWeekInBeauty you can read it here. I tried the Physicians Formula Butter Highlighter and I can’t wait to share my thoughts.

The butter family was already composed of the butter blush and the butter bronzer (I talked about the bronzer in my top 3 bronzers post), and in the last month, they added butter highlighters to join the family. As part of the Influenster family, I received one of the highlighters to try and review. If you’re unfamiliar with Influenster, you can join by clicking here and you’ll have the chance to review products for testing purposes.

I received the shade Champagne, and although it wouldn’t have been the shade I would’ve chosen for myself, I still really like it! The other shades are,

  • Rose Gold
  • Pink
  • Pearl

I think Rose Gold would’ve probably been the one I would’ve chosen, just because it goes more with the types of looks I like to do, but trying out Champagne has been a great way to see how the formula works, the best way to apply, and be able to give you my honest review.

The product is described as,

Ultra-luxurious and multi-dimensional cream-to-powder highlighter for a radiant Brazilian goddess glow! Lightweight, one-swipe, blendable coverage features ultra-refined pearls and soft-focus pigments that smooth skin texture, brighten skin tone and deliver a gorgeous highlighted finish.

The formula is very wet to the touch, and as they say on the website, it is cream-to-powder. I think Champagne is glittery, but I use a beautyblender to blend it in and achieve a more natural look. If you’ve ever tried the Colourpop Cosmetics Super Shock highlighters, this is very similar to that. I use my finger to apply, it works a lot better than a brush. You should use the technique you’re most comfortable with.

Overall, even though it didn’t become my new favorite highlighter, it is a lovely formula at an affordable price. I highly recommend other Physicians Formula products, everything I’ve tried has been amazing especially the butter bronzer.
