Mini Colourpop Haul + Highlighters Review

Every time I get an e-mail from Colourpop announcing a new product launch, sale, promotion, I can’t help but check it out and most often than not I end up ordering a couple of things… Anyone else has this problem? No? It’s just me? Got it.most often than not I end up ordering a couple of things… Anyone else has this problem? No? It’s just me? Got it.

The last e-mail I got from Colourpop was announcing new Creme Lippie Stix and I ordered one of the shades so expect a review on that soon! The one before that was about their set of highlighters. Highlighters are one of the makeup products that are still somewhat of a mystery to me. This is the first time I actually buy a highlighter, the other two I have, have come in my Birchbox subscription. I ordered the Waffle trio of highlighters that comes with Scrumptious, Flexitarian, and Glazed, and I also ordered two  Ultra Satin Lips, Calypso and Baracuda.

The highlighters are SO creamy. When I first got them I swatched them a little bit because I didn’t want to mess up how they looked until I took the photos for this blog post and I was very impressed. Usually when I swatch powdered products like pressed powders, blushes and bronzers, yes, it feels a little smooth but nothing like this. They are very sparkly so I think applying only a little bit will be enough especially if you don’t like the very glittery look. Hopefully the will be featured in my next month’s favorites!them I swatched them a little bit because I didn’t want to mess up how they looked until I took the photos for this blog post and I was very impressed. If you’ve read my previous posts, you will know that I am a huge fan of Colourpop lipsticks. I mostly have their matte formula because those are the first ones I found out about, but in the last couple of months, I’ve loved the satin formula. They’re just as pigmented as their mattes, but less drying which I know it’s one of the main reasons why people steer away from matte lipsticks. The two shades I ordered, Baracuda and Calypso, are very earthy tones and I am loving them. They feel very nice on the lips and they are very long lasting. I ate a pizza and the lipstick didn’t budge. Amazing.mattes, but less drying which I know it’s one of the main reasons why people steer away from matte lipsticks.
