Even though there isn’t much of Fall left, I wanted to share my favorite Fall lipsticks with you. Winter and Fall lipsticks are pretty much the same in my opinion. Whenever it starts getting cold I pull out my berries, dark reds, and deep nudes out. If you missed my last post, you can find it here. Now, let’s see some swatches!
L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Liquid Lipstick in Milk & Cookies
The L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Lipsticks are some of the best matte drugstore formulas I’ve tried. They are so pigmented, and they also dry matte. I picked up the shade Milk & Cookies because it is the perfect deep nude for this time of the year. I would have to say this formula is a bit weird. The lipstick takes a few minutes to dry down, and I wouldn’t say it is 100% transfer proof.
If you haven’t heard of NUDESTIX, make sure to check out their Instagram! They are really active, and they post daily stories on how to use their products. I’ve been wanting to try these for a while, and during the Sephora VIB Sale, I finally got myself one. The shade I picked up is Raven, and it is described as a cool toned plum red with matte finish. You’ll be starting to see a trend, but I promise not all these Fall lipsticks look the same.
Colourpop Cosmetics Ultra Matte Lipsticks in More Better
Colourpop Cosmetics has some of the best affordable makeup out there. A few months ago they released their first eyeshadow palette and it was amazing. I highly recommend you check them out if you’re on a budget. This has to be one of my all-time favorite shades. On the website, Colourpop describes it as a deep wine, and it is just gorgeous. I think it’s the type of shade that would look lovely on everyone.
NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment in Under My Thumb
More Better is definitely a dupe for this next shade. The NARS Powermatte Lip Pigments were released earlier this year, and I don’t think they’ve received the attention they deserve. This formula is so lightweight, and not as drying as other matte lipsticks. Unlike the Colourpop formula, this is a lot less heavy on the lips, but just as pigmented. Since the formula is so lightweight, it is a lot more long-wearing that Colourpop’s ultra matte.
If you’re more into natural, comfortable, and wearable formulas, this is the lipstick for you! As you can see, my fall lipsticks are full of berries, burgundy shades. The shade 030 is a sheerer version of More Better. While it is pigmented, it is not a matte lipstick so it will take a few swipes on the lips to build up the color. Rimmel’s Kate Moss line is amazing, and even if this is not the shade for you, make sure to check them out at the drugstore because they’re amazing!
Wander Beauty Wanderout Dual Lipsticks in Wanderberry
I had never heard of Wander Beauty before until I received this sample in my Play! Box by Sephora. These lipsticks come in twos (the box only came with one), and Wanderberry is paired with a really pretty mauve nude. Much like the Rimmel London lipstick, this doesn’t dry matte, it is not transfer-proof, but it is so pigmented and comfortable to wear. I know matte formulas are not for everyone, but we do all like pigmented shades, and this is a great option.
While Fall is almost over, these are all shades you can wear during Winter, and I even enjoy using them during Spring. Don’t let the time of the year stop you from wearing the colors you like.
