If you haven’t heard about this concealer yet……….. I don’t know what to tell you because I doubt there’s someone out there that hasn’t seen this little pot of concealer everywhere on Instagram. In case you have been living under a rock, I introduce to you the NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer (not gonna lie, I just found out there was a “Complete” before the Concealer). According to the Sephora website, this is “a full-coverage concealer in an oil-free, ultra-lightweight cream formula that blurs imperfections as it conceals, smoothing the look of skin with a soft-matte, natural-looking finish.” Which makes total sense to have a complete understanding of the type of skin they have and the type of products that works for them… If you’re one of them, good for you! I am not so Sephora’s product description is gibberish to me. I still bought it because “YouTube made me buy it” is what I keep telling myself. It’s a cute little thing, though? Right? That makes it all worth it.
This is actually my first NARS product… I know I know you can stop throwing rocks at me now… And the packaging is lovely, I love the good quality, you can definitely tell this is not a drugstore brand. I bought mine at Nordstrom, and the first time, someone decided that my shade was Ginger… I went home, took a better look at it, looked at it in natural light, and I knew I was most definitely not a Ginger. Sooo I went back and had someone else match me, and exchanged it for a Vanilla (which you see above). Much much better. Just to give you an idea, there are five shades in between Vanilla and Ginger in Sephora’s website. I know it’s not the most accurate scale as some shades have different undertones and whatever, but still, five little shade squares in between each other.
So enough of me not really reviewing the product, which is what according to the title of this post you should be reading by now… I love it. I am still figuring out the best way for me to use it, but it’s a great product and all the rave is well-earned. Most people recommend it for blemishes, spots, little corrections in the face, while others use it for dark circles. I’ve tried both things, and in both instances, I’ve realized I need to apply this product using a very light hand. Since it is full coverage you don’t need too much. I’ve mostly been using it when I oversleep for work and don’t want to spend too much time putting crap on my face, but I still don’t want to get to work looking like a raccoon, so I apply a little bit here and there to make my face look awake and decent.
Have you all tried this yet? Let me know what you think and how you’ve been using it! I am really interested. Don’t forget to leave a comment below and like this post!
